Online Whiteboard — Free, Browser-Only Drawing
Sketch, draw, brainstorm in browser. Pen, shapes, text, eraser, undo/redo. Export PNG / SVG. No signup.
About Whiteboard
An online whiteboard provides a digital canvas for sketching, brainstorming, diagramming, and drawing — without installing software or signing up. Useful for quick sketches during calls, teaching demos, system-design interviews, brainstorming alone, and anywhere a sheet of paper would do but you need shareable output. The ZTools Whiteboard runs entirely in the browser, supports pen / shapes / text / eraser / undo / redo / multi-color / pressure-sensitive input on supported devices, and exports as PNG (raster) or SVG (vector).
Use cases
- Quick sketch during a video call. Share screen, sketch a flow / diagram while explaining. Faster than slide creation.
- System design interview practice. Sketch architecture diagrams; export as PNG to review or share.
- Brainstorming alone. Map ideas spatially. Export final state as image to keep.
- Teaching demos. Live drawing during an explanation. Watch students follow.
How it works

Pro tips
- For system design diagrams, use rectangles + arrows — keep sketches loose, focus on structure.
- Export SVG when scaling to print or large screens; PNG for quick sharing.
- For collaborative whiteboarding, use Excalidraw or Miro — this tool is for solo / private work.
- Use keyboard shortcuts (V select, P pen, R rectangle, T text) — faster than mouse.
